Who can apply

A Foothills Composite music student who lifts up the people around them

Worth knowing

Every criterion describes how you behave in a choir rather than how well you sing, including a willingness to work at improving. It is the smallest award in the handbook and probably the least contested.

About this scholarship

The Big Rock Singers fund this bursary in memory of Lloyd Burns, a chorister and Okotoks resident of forty years. It goes to a graduating student in the music program who shows selflessness, friendship, effort, a willingness to take direction, and abundant good humour.

How to apply

1 Ask your guidance counsellor how your school handles this award.
2 Ask for the school deadline too. It is often earlier than the one listed here.
