Who can apply

Grade 12 students who lead by example inside the school

Worth knowing

The handbook publishes no closing date for this award. Applications are collected by Brooks Composite High School rather than by the sponsor, and the form itself is a Google Doc only Grasslands students can open, so the date you need is the one the school sets. Ask the BCHS office in the fall.

About this scholarship

The Brooks Elks Lodge is looking for a Grade 12 student who sets an example others follow: a positive attitude in leadership situations, motivation to get the school population to take responsibility for its own surroundings, and dedication to the school in curricular as well as extracurricular areas. It also asks that you plan to use the money to develop those leadership skills further, so the application is partly about what comes next.

How to apply

1 Ask your guidance counsellor how your school handles this award.
2 Ask for the school deadline too. It is often earlier than the one listed here.
