Worth knowing

Requires admission to Burman, twelve completed credits excluding PLAR and audits, and Canadian citizenship or permanent residence. Students receiving a second degree discount or a full-tuition scholarship are not eligible. Winter entrants may receive half if funding allows. Burman publishes no calendar date for this one. The university's scholarship submission deadline governs it, and that moves each year, so check the Burman deadlines page once you have an offer of admission.

About this scholarship

One thousand dollars for new students beginning first year at Burman who live within 100 kilometres of the Lacombe campus. The university names Olds, Rocky Mountain House, Leduc and Stettler, and includes the cities along the QE2 corridor between and including Edmonton and Calgary, so the catchment is far wider than the name suggests. Everyone who qualifies is paid.
