Who can apply

Canadian residents aged 8 to 18 who have organized and led a service project benefiting people or the planet

Worth knowing

There are two deadlines, and missing the first ends it: a pre-application closes March 15 and is not accessible after that date, and only applicants judged eligible are invited to the full application by April 15. Both close at 5 PM Mountain Time, which is Alberta time for once. The project must be one you initiated, not a school assignment.

About this scholarship

One of the few national awards open well below Grade 12: applicants must be 8 to 18 and not yet 19 on the April 15 deadline. It rewards a service or research project the applicant started and led themselves, and Canadian residents compete on the same footing as American ones.
