Worth knowing

Administered by EducationMatters through one application for all CBE and Calgary Catholic awards. Applications open March 1. Confirm the date on the award page before you rely on it. Three rules apply to every EducationMatters award and are easy to miss: you must be 20 or younger as of September 1, you must not already be attending a post-secondary institution, and you must apply in your Grade 12 year. Once you leave high school you can no longer apply, so a gap year is fine only if you applied before you graduated.

About this scholarship

Applicants are required to: Submit an original essay of 300 to 500 words on why you want to pursue architecture and/or interior design as your career. Provide a letter of reference from an instructor who knows of your career aspirations and supports your goals.
