Never miss a deadline

The Deadlines page lays out every closing date, month by month. On any listing, leave your email and get a reminder 30, 14 and 3 days before it closes. That email is the only personal information we ever hold, and one click deletes it.

Who can apply

Grade 12 students at Lord Beaverbrook High School

Worth knowing

Administered by EducationMatters through one application for all CBE and Calgary Catholic awards. Applications open March 1. Confirm the date on the award page before you rely on it. Three rules apply to every EducationMatters award and are easy to miss: you must be 20 or younger as of September 1, you must not already be attending a post-secondary institution, and you must apply in your Grade 12 year. Once you leave high school you can no longer apply, so a gap year is fine only if you applied before you graduated.

About this scholarship

Applicants are required to share their story through a letter, video, comic strip, art portfolio/project or another creative demonstration "describing the "turnaround" or personal growth they have demonstrated in their life and highlighting how this scholarship will help them pursue their passion and achieve their dreams".

How to apply

1 Ask your guidance counsellor how your school handles this award.
2 Ask for the school deadline too. It is often earlier than the one listed here.
