Who can apply

Canadian residents over 16 with a creative portfolio aimed at advertising

Worth knowing

Submissions run August 1 to September 15, 2026, and judging is finished by October 15. You upload a link to a portfolio of up to 10 pieces plus a statement of at most 1,000 characters on how the money would help your creative path. You must be a Canadian resident over 16 and not already working professionally in the field, so a Grade 12 student building a portfolio is exactly who this is for.

About this scholarship

The James Lee Foundation awards a minimum of $5,000 to emerging creative talent across Canada who want to work in advertising. Writers, art directors, film makers, recording artists, illustrators and digital artists all qualify.
