Worth knowing

No closing date is published for this one. It is handled inside the school rather than by the sponsor, so the date you need is whatever your counsellor or the student centre is working to this year.

About this scholarship

Established by the KDM Helping Hands Charity for students in the Primary Outreach program at St. Gabriel Education Centre and St. Albert Outreach High School. The bar is set where those students are: 18 or under, an overall average of 60%, and no requirement to be a resident of St. Albert or the surrounding area. It goes to a student who has shown perseverance in finishing their studies and who supports their family, school and community through what they actually do. Awards written for outreach students are rare in Alberta, and this is one of very few.

How to apply

1 Ask your guidance counsellor how your school handles this award.
2 Ask for the school deadline too. It is often earlier than the one listed here.
