Prairie Grade 12 graduates entering a first-year undergraduate STEM program

Worth knowing

MindFuel's page publishes two different deadlines for this same award, June 30 in the eligibility panel and July 18 under Key Dates, so treat any date you see there with suspicion. The 2026 call is closed and the site says the next one opens in Spring 2027 without naming a day, which is why no deadline is shown here.

About this scholarship

Two awards from MindFuel and Creative Destruction Lab Rockies for Grade 12 students graduating from an Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba high school and entering a first-year undergraduate STEM program at an accredited post-secondary institution in those three provinces. Each is paid in two parts: $1,000 in first year, then $1,500 in second year if you hold an 80 per cent average. Applications from underrepresented groups in STEM are explicitly encouraged, though that is a priority rather than a requirement.
