ABOUT THIS SCHOLARSHIP
The Schulich Leader Scholarships recognize exceptional Canadian high school students pursuing STEM at one of 20 select Canadian universities. Recipients are nominated by their school and receive $100,000 to support their post-secondary education. Eligible students must be graduating high school seniors planning to enter a STEM program at a participating institution.
Your school nominates you, you cannot apply directly. Every Canadian high school can put forward one graduating student, two if the school had a Schulich Leader in 2026. Nomination deadline is January 27, 2027 and nominated students then have until February 17, 2027 to submit the application and reference letters. Talk to your counsellor in the fall, not in January.
HOW TO APPLY
1 Talk to your school guidance counsellor about this award.
2 Ask about internal school deadlines, which can be earlier than the listed one.
3 Submit your application through your school before January 27, 2027.
