Worth knowing

The application link Bellerose publishes for this one points at a raidershockey.ca file that no longer resolves, so go through the association or the school rather than that address. Contact St. Albert Minor Hockey directly to confirm this year's route.

About this scholarship

Up to two $1,000 scholarships a year for players in the U18 Interlock program, plus one $1,000 scholarship for a U18 official, all for students continuing to a post-secondary institution. The official's award is the part worth noticing: refereeing is paid work that most students never think to claim on a scholarship application, and here there is money written specifically for it.

How to apply

1 Ask your guidance counsellor how your school handles this award.
2 Ask for the school deadline too. It is often earlier than the one listed here.
