Worth knowing

The date here is Paul Kane's April 10. Bellerose collects the same award until June 1 and the other schools set their own, so the deadline you are held to is your own school's, not the one printed here. Ask your counsellor which applies to you.

About this scholarship

The last of the four Humboldt awards and the one built differently from the others. It is open from grade 10, it asks for an 80% average rather than 70%, and it is meant to fund personal growth in any area the recipient chooses: higher education, sport, hobbies, training, classes, or equipment. Stephen Wack was an honours student and a self-taught videographer as well as a defenceman, and priority goes to students who play defence. The criteria ask for extraordinary commitment to personal growth and an exemplary work ethic on and off the ice, not for a points total.

How to apply

1 Ask your guidance counsellor how your school handles this award.
2 Ask for the school deadline too. It is often earlier than the one listed here.

Email me before it closes

We send one link to confirm, then a reminder 30, 14 and 3 days before the deadline.
We store your address only to send these reminders, and delete it the moment you unsubscribe. How this works.
