Who can apply

Alberta residents selected to a Team Alberta volleyball program

Worth knowing

Verified 2026-09-09 on Volleyball Alberta's Team Alberta pages. Read what this actually is before applying: it is listed under Financial Assistance beside KidSport and Jumpstart, and it subsidises the cost of participating in a Team Alberta program rather than funding post-secondary study. The amount is up to $750, not the $500 this listing previously carried. You have to be selected to a Team Alberta indoor or beach program first, and then apply on financial need. Volleyball Alberta's public awards page lists Hugh Hoyles only as a Hall of Fame builder; the fund itself is described on the Team Alberta pages, which is why this points there.

About this scholarship

Need-based help with the cost of playing in a Team Alberta volleyball program, not money for school. It offsets fees such as training, Canada Cup travel, accommodation, meals and gear.
