Worth knowing

The provider had not posted a date for the new cycle when this was checked in August 2026, so this is last cycle's deadline rolled forward. This one runs on nominations rather than applications, so you cannot simply put yourself forward: ask an art teacher, an instructor, or someone in the local arts community to nominate you. It is also open from Grade 9, which is earlier than almost anything else here.

About this scholarship

Established by the Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge in 2019, the Aspiring Artist Award recognises a student in grades 9 through 12 whose level of achievement stands out against peers at a similar stage of development. The award is worth $1,000 and is meant to support both artistic work and further educational opportunities. Recipients are chosen from nominations made by the community.
