Never miss a deadline

Wetaskiwin Composite athletes in more than one sport

Worth knowing

The multi-sport requirement is the filter. A single-sport specialist is at a disadvantage here no matter how good, and community league play counts the same as a school team. One Google Form covers every in-house award at Wetaskiwin Composite. You tick the awards you want to be considered for, write one paragraph on why, and that paragraph is judged against all of them at once. The 2026 form closed June 6 and winners were told by email or text in September, so watch the school's post-secondary page for the next one in the spring.

About this scholarship

Two awards of $1,000, one to a female athlete and one to a male athlete, for a grade 12 student who competes in more than one sport at school or in the community, leads, mentors younger athletes and keeps their marks up at the same time. Physical Education 30 is preferred but not demanded.

How to apply

1 Ask your guidance counsellor how your school handles this award.
2 Ask for the school deadline too. It is often earlier than the one listed here.
