Never miss a deadline

The Deadlines page lays out every closing date, month by month. On any listing, leave your email and get a reminder 30, 14 and 3 days before it closes. That email is the only personal information we ever hold, and one click deletes it.

Worth knowing

Nothing in the criteria mentions performance, so a bench player with a reputation for decency is a real candidate. One Google Form covers every in-house award at Wetaskiwin Composite. You tick the awards you want to be considered for, write one paragraph on why, and that paragraph is judged against all of them at once. The 2026 form closed June 6 and winners were told by email or text in September, so watch the school's post-secondary page for the next one in the spring.

About this scholarship

Two awards of $500, one female and one male, for the grade 12 athlete who best shows cooperativeness, fairness, graciousness, honour and humility. It is the companion award to the athletic scholarship of the same name and it is explicitly not about winning.

How to apply

1 Ask your guidance counsellor how your school handles this award.
2 Ask for the school deadline too. It is often earlier than the one listed here.
