Worth knowing

The list of qualifying fields is unusually long and worth checking against your own program before assuming you are out: biology, chemistry, computer science, data science, engineering, environmental sciences, geology, information systems, mathematics, microbiology, natural sciences, physics, statistics, technology and zoology all count. One application covers every Calgary Black Chambers award. The Calgary Foundation had not posted dates for the new cycle when this was checked on 2026-09-08; its page still shows the 2026 round, so the date here is last cycle's rolled forward. Confirm before you plan around it.
