Children of Canadian Forces members who died on duty since 2002

Worth knowing

Narrow by design and worth knowing exists. Eligibility covers children of Regular Force or Reserve Force members who died on duty in an active role on a Canadian Forces mission since January 2002. There is no annual deadline; applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and a program representative contacts every applicant to discuss next steps rather than simply screening them out. Read the Terms of Reference before applying, and expect to authorize the Canadian Armed Forces to confirm eligibility. Funding covers post-secondary and post-graduate study. The eligibility hotline is 1-800-883-6094. A separate charity, the Canadian Hero Fund, covers similar ground for children and spouses and is listed here too, so check both.
