Worth knowing

A hundred awards a year and no year-of-study restriction, which makes it one of the better odds on the provincial list for a first-year student. Leadership in the area of disability is named first in the criteria. You apply to your own institution's student awards office, with a resume and an essay of up to 1,000 words, and each school sets its own date.

About this scholarship

Named for the Alberta disability advocate, this provincial scholarship rewards leadership and initiative that improved the lives of other people rather than academic standing.
