Worth knowing

Administered by EducationMatters through one application for all CBE and Calgary Catholic awards. Applications open March 1. Confirm the date on the award page before you rely on it. Three rules apply to every EducationMatters award and are easy to miss: you must be 20 or younger as of September 1, you must not already be attending a post-secondary institution, and you must apply in your Grade 12 year. Once you leave high school you can no longer apply, so a gap year is fine only if you applied before you graduated.

About this scholarship

Two $750 awards for Bowness High School students in Grade 10 or 11, decided on a 500-word essay about how your music has added value to the school or community, what you learned from it, and what the award would mean.
