Who can apply

Grade 12 students at Western Canada High School

Worth knowing

The award page does not publish a fixed date. Ask your school's guidance office or scholarship coordinator for this year's deadline. Three rules apply to every EducationMatters award and are easy to miss: you must be 20 or younger as of September 1, you must not already be attending a post-secondary institution, and you must apply in your Grade 12 year. Once you leave high school you can no longer apply, so a gap year is fine only if you applied before you graduated.

About this scholarship

Up to two $300 bursaries a year at Western Canada High School, normally one from the band program and one from the choir, to help with music camp or tour costs. Preference goes to students with financial need.

How to apply

1 Ask your guidance counsellor how your school handles this award.
2 Ask for the school deadline too. It is often earlier than the one listed here.
