Who can apply

Airdrie area students, one award for agricultural studies and one for any field

Worth knowing

The society does not publish the award value. Applications go by email to airdrieagsocietysocial@gmail.com, and the essay topic has been the same one for years, so it can be drafted well before September. The non-agricultural award is the one students skip, which is exactly why it is worth an evening.

About this scholarship

Two scholarships a year from the Airdrie and District Agricultural Society, one for a student entering agricultural studies and one for a student entering anything else. It asks for a 250 to 300 word essay on the value of volunteerism, three years of extracurricular and leadership activity, and a transcript that includes Grade 12 marks.
